Not the best here. You’re going to be coming in hot off of Division into a cramped parking lot with only one way of getting in and out. You’re sharing the lot with another business. Best to park in the middle or to the left so you have room to back up or getaway fast if need be.

Review:

It’s not like you’re walking into Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. The Time Out on Division near 162nd is the perfect location if you’re stuck at Les Schwab two blocks away and need to spend a couple of hours while you’re getting your tires rotated.

Let’s get to the basics first. Once entered into the Time Out forum, you’re confronted with some unique bar seating. There are three tables separated equally from the left, center and right side of the bar. They extend perpendicularly from the bar itself. A top down look, it actually forms the capital letter “E”. So there’s room enough to walk up to the bar between said tables and order a drink but you’re not going to be sitting if those tables are full. Those sitting, are facing each other and not the front of the bar…. ok, with that said, I need a drink!

You’ve got your basics here. A few TV’s, one at each end of the bar and one over the bar itself. Good TV’s by the way. You’ve got all of the Lottery accoutrement with six lavish Las Vegas style slot machines for your enjoyment that will surely add to your bar bill. The day I walked in (see previous Les Schwab referral) there was a leak from the roof but seriously contained not to distract from the decor. Current carpeting is reminiscent of a 1970’s La Quinta Inn with a few taped down areas. Looking to the east, you’ll find up to eight more tables for your drinking and dining experience all with an excellent view of the single pool table as the marquee entertainment lure. Seating for patrons will throw you back to your middle school assembly gatherings as pleather adorned chairs dot the landscape at the tables and anywhere there’s space along the walls.

There’s a music box with a decent sound system. For those who got ’em and want to smoke ’em, there’s an area outside the front door to the left. Probably most comfortable during the months just before summer and just before winter. This is a bar that’s a nice hideaway for those looking to just have a drink while no one notices you, except, hopefully, the bartender. Decent staff will keep your glasses full. Know the exits, face the room and you’re set. All you need now is for Les to call.
